Self-Harm Hotline

If you are thinking about suicide, READ THIS FIRST!!!

Whenever you feel like engaging in self-injurious behaviour such as cutting, or if you know of a dear friend who does, take comfort in the fact that there are several self-injury and self-harm hotlines that you can contact at any time of the day. No one can dismiss or belittle the overwhelming emotions and pain you feel when you cut or when you contemplate in doing so; however, if you engage in cutting behaviour, you should know that it is very important to get help via numerous and confidential cutting hotlines and self-injury resources, even when you think that nobody understands. Most people who cut themselves do not intend to significantly maim themselves to the point that they might die; and yet, what one must understand is that cutting poses a lot of health risks, such as serious infections and blood loss that can lead to complications or even death.

When you get help, you not only address the cutting behaviour, but more importantly, the more deep-seated issues that cause you to cut. Now wouldn’t that be ideal, to finally start healing from all the pain that you have experienced? Below are self-harm hotline numbers and self-injury resources we have compiled for you.
